Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the medical oncology and hematology clinics at the Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC).

Job Duties

Job Duty

Supervises medical oncology and hematology patient care operations,to include the coordination of clinical activities with various support services such as Information Technology, Facilities, Revenue Cycle, Medical Records, Laboratory and Pharmacy. Ensures operational practices are continually improved through the development, implementation and evaluation of continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with institutional, divisional and departmental based policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.

Oversees the hiring, supervision, professional development and evaluation of employees. Develops, monitors and enforces productivity and performance standards. Ensures maintenance of allied health and nursing practice standards. Develops staffing plans and justifies incremental resources.

Job Duty

Provides oversight for financial and medical clearance, budget development and monitoring, supply inventory, and capital equipment budget preparation and implementation. Ensures performance to annual operating budget by taking corrective action when appropriate/necessary.

Responsible for facility and physical asset planning and maintenance. Ensures optimal utilization of assigned resources. Justifies the need for incremental space resources using institutional and divisional processes.
