Job Description

Provide care and treatment of laboratory animals, monitor animal health, assist in experimental procedures and surgical operations on animals.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 3 years experience with animals in a work setting. ALAT certification through AALAS is preferred.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Prepare animals for experimental procedures to include aseptic surgery, monitor animal health, and provide post-procedural care of the animals such as administration of medication, suture removal, dressing of surgical site(s), and veterinary technical support for multiple imaging modalities.

Maintains large animal records and administers prescribed treatments.

Assist in the Pathology lab to include blood analyzer operation, fecal testing, and other lab procedures.
