Job Description

This position administers and coordinates the institution’s leave programs as well as responds to unemployment claims. This position is responsible for auditing time and leave records and providing reports to ensure compliance with institutional policies and state/federal regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working in an HR department and an understanding of state and federal regulations regarding leave entitlements.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Administers and coordinates FMLA, ADA , and other institutional leave programs, including processing and tracking of leave and ADA accommodations.

Job Duty

Advises employees and managers on leave policies and procedures, serving as the main point of contact. Maintain regular communication with employees, department representatives, and Human Resources Partners as it pertains to status of employees on leave.

Respond to unemployment claims from the Texas Workforce Commission, including coordinating hearings.

Generate periodic reports pertaining to leave usage. Identify trends, advises on problems or issues, and provide recommendations. Remain current with regulatory requirements and leave management procedures.
