Job Description

Supervise the Customer Service team. Ensure Customer Service staff are well trained in handling calls from patients regarding their financial responsibility, monitor the quality of the calls, investigate, respond and resolve patient issues timely, hire and train staff, and enforce Payment Plan accounts and guidelines.

Job Duty

Train, monitor and manage Customer Services staff members in handling patient questions regarding their bills. Meet with patients face-to-face as necessary. Ensure patient concerns are resolved timely. Monitor call volumes and ensure staffing and systems are appropriate for call demand.

Monitor Patient Payment Plans to ensure the plans are within UT Health guidelines. Ensure patients are paying according to their payment plan or move them to collections. Educate Customer Service staff members on payment plans and correct any payment plan set up outside of UT Health guidelines.

Supervise and be the point of contact for questions regarding Patient Statements, including the UT Health Patient Statement vendor. Act as point of contact for accounts going to the UT Health Collection Agency vendor.
