Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and six (6) years of progressive accounting experience or CPA certification with four (4) years of accounting experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.

Job Description

To oversee and manage all reporting aspects as it relates to the University’s Financial Reporting.

Job Duty

Oversee staff professional and clerical personnel. Provide guidance on current initiatives, prioritize assignments and follow up on any outstanding assignments. Furnish an environment that will allow for communication and resourcefulness among staff. Work in collaboration with the staff members on office initiatives.

Review, certify and verify submissions for monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for the UT System Office, Legislative Budget Board and The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, sponsors, other state agencies, etc.

Responsible for all related financial reports, including required reports for the institution’s Annual Financial Report and Ad Hoc reports.

To establish and maintain controls by overseeing processes and periodic reviews to ensure the UT Health San Antonio is in compliance with GAAP, GASB, Institutional, and external regulations concerning transactional entries into the ledger. Review and certify activities for all the Financial Reporting and authorize corrective action.
