Job Description

Provides technical assistance to departmental faculty, staff and students for all audio-visual (AV) related activities. This includes maintenance of common-use equipment, coordinating AV activities with the University’s IMS support group and training AV equipment users in how to use the equipment effectively.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Helps departmental faculty, staff and students in the all AV activities, involving both on-site and off-site participants. Works with the University’s IMS support group when necessary. Maintains calendar of AV events and troubleshoots problems during the events.

Job Duty

Oversees and monitors the responsible use of departmental common equipment and computers. Carries out minor repairs, adjustments and orders outside service when needed. Coordinate repairs with external service providers.

Job Duty

Ensures that common-use equipment inventory is maintained; this requires following up with users to make sure equipment is returned after each use. Maintains inventory and supplies in good condition. Installs virus control programs so that equipment is ready for the next user.

Assists and trains departmental users to effectively develop AV content using a variety of software and network media. May recommend other software programs to enhance the AV experience.
