Job Description

Our lab will focus on gene regulation study in normal growth and cancer conditions. The work will be conducted at UT Health San Antonio.

Preferred Qualifications

Highly motivated person for this position. Previous experience in a laboratory setting and previous lab management particularly with ordering and inventorying supplies. Basic computer skills. Some experience in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology.

Job Duty

Assist the scientific investigators in the maintenance and operation of a technical research laboratory. Carry out general laboratory routine maintenance. Prepares standard chemical solutions. Washes and sterilizes laboratory glassware, following standardized procedures

Job Duty

Orders, receives and stores new equipment and supplies. Issues supplies and equipment to students, postdocs, and checks returned equipment for condition. Keeps laboratory area supplied with basic materials or solutions used. May make minor repairs or adjustments on equipment or instruments. Cleans, oils, paints and checks equipment, and assists in maintaining cleanliness. Provides or assists in tissue culture, animal care and maintenance. May assist in inventory of supplies and equipment.
