Job Description

Maintains and enhances relationships with physicians and provides ongoing support and communication with physicians and practice personnel to build positive relationships with UT Health Physicians, primarily focused on developing and improving practice referral relationships specifically in Vascular Surgery, as well as other surgical specialties offered by UT Health Physicians, the clinical practice of the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. This position also will identify opportunities and challenges related to the management, satisfaction, alignment and retention of physicians along with community outreach and engagement. Performs targeted outreach as related to clear deliverables and collaborates with internal departments to resolve provider issues. Responsible for providing ongoing guidance and support to physician leaders, as well as the divisions of quality, marketing, operations, and strategy.

Develops and executes on strategic growth plans to build awareness and increase new patient volume to the practice. Work with internal physicians/executive management to help identify service line/service growth opportunities. Analyzing referral volume to recommend a growth and/or retention strategy.

Acts as a liaison between providers, practices, health plans and possibly broker communities. Executed relationship building through face-to-face meetings with practices and physicians to increase physician utilization within a defined geographic territory.

Develops key messages to effectively communicate and promote key service benefits to targeted physicians and office staff. Initiates issue resolution workflow as needed to capture, maintain, or increase physician utilization. Ensures internal/external obstacles to business growth and retention are identified and minimized, or eliminated.

Tracks and reports outcomes of all business development efforts to include: referring physician satisfaction, identifying market trends, additional business opportunities, and ROI productivity. Coordinates and facilitates printing of marketing materials, signage updates, office publications, and other printed materials.

Investigates the industry trends and competition. Conducts market research and analyzes data to make business recommendations on sound growth opportunities. Collaborates with marketing staff to build awareness of UT Health Physicians and its services in the San Antonio and South Texas community.
