Job Description

Will help lead the team that will be working with all of our clinical enterprise work queues and call centers.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills and good telephone etiquette. Applicants should possess good computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills and experience with at least two office type software programs (i.e, Outlook, Word and Excel). Should have the ability to work with minimal supervision, use good judgement and work independently, at times under the pressure of deadlines.

Will work at a computer terminal and wear headsets. The duties include but are not limited to: Supervising access center staffing, Working, Monitoring and reporting on all work queues in Epic for our clinical enterprise. Calling and scheduling referred, bumped, pending patients into necessary clinics/specialties. Goal is working today’s work today.

Schedules appointment following procedure and completes all necessary fields to include but not limited to: appointment notes (complete reason for visit), referral source, Primary Care Provider, preferred language, and assigning correct coverage and guarantor. Reviews patients co-pay amount (specific for scheduled service) and any outstanding balance with patient. Reviews patient’s insurance coverage and requested services, notifies patient if service requires an authorization or referral, explaining the patients role in the referral process. Explains to the patient at the time the appointment is made: the location, date/time of the appointment, when they should arrive at the clinic, parking, if they will be receiving paperwork in the mail, request 24-48 hours’ notice for any cancellations and to expect an automated reminder call from Televox. Will help in answering any questions from access center staff.
